Common Questions

Although many of our service offerings have been around for a while now, the technology and supporting research is yet to become common household knowledge. Below are some of the questions we are commonly asked, but if you have more that are not featured here, we welcome you to call or visit for a chat.

Where do I park?

Anywhere you find space. There are several parallel spots along the tree line of our driveway, on the side furthest from the Health House. There is also plenty of street parking in front of the house.

Do we do gift cards?

Yes, you can load them with whatever value you wish.

Do you need to bring your own yoga mat?

If you have one, you may find it more comfortable to lay yours over ours, but if not, we have enough to cover a full class

What do I wear for each treatment?

SuperEarthing:

You’ll be lying down on a comfortable PEMF mat, so there are no special requirements for clothing. Just something loose enough to lie down in, really.

If choosing to bathe in infrared light as a bonus to the SuperEarthing treatment, getting as much skin exposure is to your advantage. As such, going shirtless is ideal. Many clients prefer to wear shorts or just their underwear to maximize infrared skin exposure. Although the temptation to go completely nude may seem like it would achieve optimal skin exposure, the warmth generated by the lights may be harmful to your genitals, so best keep them covered.

OxyGym:

Loose and comfortable, standard workout attire is best. You will be in your own private room, so if you're coming directly from work, or are otherwise not equipped with suitable clothing, you can opt to simply wear your underwear.

SuperSauna:

All sauna treatments are best done completely nude, as anything you wear would otherwise become soaked with sweat. So just wear something that's relatively easy to remove. We'll equip you with plenty of towels to sit on and keep you comfortable while in the sauna.

Cold Plunge:

As we do require you to shower first, you'll already be naked so you're welcome to go au naturel, or wear a swimsuit. The less you wear, the quicker you will be able to dry off afterwards.

How is Oxygen at the OxyGym different from breathing normal air?

Ambient air contains 20-21% oxygen. The Oxygym system allows you to breathe in 92-96% oxygen continuously while you are either standing on a vibration platform (suitable for all ages) or exercising with our range of options. Adding movement / exercise helps drive all that healing oxygen into your cells.

How is the OxyGym different to Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen systems are an effective form of therapy, though require much longer sessions to achieve similar results through passive diffusion, which is ideal for those who have skin conditions, lung conditions, open wounds, or are unable to exercise.

Exercise With Oxygen Therapy (EWOT), combines near-pure oxygen with exercise to supercharge your body's own respiratory system for rapid oxygen delivery into cells.

OxyGym EWOT sessions require only 20 minutes to achieve even stronger effects and is reported to be over 5 times more efficient than a hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

Is PEMF therapy the same as standing barefoot on the earth?

Barefoot earthing is similar and great for all of us, though few of us live barefoot in nature, or sleep on the earth to achieve the milder benefits of earthing. PEMF is a far more concentrated application of the magnetism our body requires to make up for this, allowing us to reap wide ranging benefits in only 20 minutes. We add a calming rocking motion, infrared light exposure, and sound therapy to complete the wonderfully calming experience. Most report a unique calming effect as the energy gently pulses through the body.

How does Cold Plunge therapy help calm the nervous system?

The cold plunge is best used after an infrared sauna. After quickly transitioning from hot to cold, your circulation cycles from vasodilation to vasoconstriction, this very quickly boosts circulation yielding a surprisingly calming effect soon after.
